This weekend’s what’s going on will be a bit more family friendly.

To start things off, the Forest Park Merchants Association will be holding their “Summer Sale” Saturday from 10am – 6pm. Among the festivities Gaia’s is celebrating their 15th year in business with 15% off the entire store. 15 years ago if you wanted a pair of Birk’s, Gaia’s was the only place in town where you could get ‘em. Stop in Saturday and pick up the next fashion fad before it becomes popular for 15% off…

In addition, other stores in the area will be offering discounts of 10%-50% various items. These sales nearly always have a great turnout, so come out and experience all that Forest Park has to offer.

Later on that Afternoon (around 4pm), the fam and I will be picking sunflowers in downtown Birmingham in the Gardens of Park Place
on the Corner of 7th Avenue N & 25th St.
There will be live music, food, U-pick sunflowers, a crop maze, Aztec dancing, movies at dusk, the unveiling of the Gardens of Park Place sign (created by Sloss Summer Program) and several activities for the kids.

Hope to see you there :)
