8 years and 17 spots on the ratings charts
I used to be proud of Birmingham Alt. Radio. WRAX was constantly breaking new artists like Train, Matchbox20, and John Mayer (yeah yeah, some of those artists are very passe now, but they were the isht back in the day).
Now the most they can offer us is an email once an hour letting us know that they played some shitty Nickelback song for the 15th time today.
When will corporate radio learn?
And btw, it was a rough weekend in the boomer household, but I’m waiting until DrWife has some time to post up the details herself. Part of the reason behind the URL change (you did notice it didn’t you?) was to facilitate us blogging together. I’m looking forward to her first post.

The X died when Dick Broadcasting sold the station. The only thing worth listening to there is Reg’s Coffee House and it wouldn’t surprise me if that show went somewhere else soon as well

That’s why XM and Sirus will have no problem finding a market whereever consolidated corporate radio has a foothold.

I got XM for Christmas and I LOVE love LOVE it.
Lightning 100, in Nashville, is a WONDERFUL AAA station, and I wish that we had one like it here in the ‘Ham. It’s like Reg, all day. And with AWESOME shows that they sponsor.
