Bill would tax cable TV to pay for dome.
State Sen. Jabo Waggoner, R-Vestavia Hills is listed as advertising this bill and another that would raise taxes on “Coin operated amusement machines” in order to pay for the dome. First of all, this is an election year. It’s not like any bill that raises taxes will get passed. The cronies are too worried about losing their seats to do that! Secondly, how much money is WASTED each year by writing and submitting these bogus bills that they KNOW will never get passed?
Cut the fat, send a message: whatever you do in the upcoming state election, don’t vote for the incumbent.
