from the Beautiful La Quinta Inn on McFarland Blvd!
Dr. Wife is doing a weekend stint as the Psych OD (Of the Day…. those wacky doctors) at Bryce Hospital….
We loaded up the whole Fam Damnly and headed west earlier today dropped the dogs off at Dr. Wife’s parents and then began our search for a place to eat. Somehow we always attempt to eat at the Cypress Inn (a place that my mom has been raving about for years) on the days when they are closed…. So after circling Tuscaloosa we settled on some sandwich shop with the plan of enjoying a sit down dinner later on tonight….
Well, as Dr. Wife was heading back from her afternoon rounds she eyed the parking lots of various restaurants around town and reported back that it wasn’t looking good. After attempting to eat at the last casual restaurant that would have a line and finding out that there was an hour and a half wait, we headed over to my sister’s boyfriend’s favorite place to eat in Tuscaloosa: Taco Casa.
So it’s a little after 10 on New Year’s Eve, my wife and I are laying on a standard size bed (the other bed in our room is literally covered with baby gear) flipping back and forth between MTV’s New Year’s coverage (seeing Nelly sing about “grills” makes us realize how old we’re getting…) and some standup guy on HBO. Thankfully we aren’t freaks about going out on NYE.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope it treats you well!

“Thankfully we aren’t freaks about going out on NYE.”
Man, you have much more to be thankful for than that. Relaxing on a NYE with your lovely, Dr. wife and beautiful, healthy baby nearby? There are lots of folks who would envy you, dude. Happy New Year to you guys…dogs and all!

Norton is way overrated. I just have never been able really enjoy his stuff.
No one made me laugh more than Mitch Hedberg. He will be dearly missed.
“On a traffic light green means go and yellow means yield, but on a banana it’s just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means where the fuck did you get that banana at?”

“They say, ‘You can have this product for four easy payments of $19.95.’ I’d like to have a product for three easy payments, and one fucking complicated payment. ‘We can’t tell you which payment it is, but one of these payments is going to be a bitch! The mailman will get shot, the envelope will not seal, and the stamp will be in the wrong denomination. Good luck, fucker!’”

Too bad I was without internet access the entire past week. I moved into Tuscaloosa on NYE and went to a screamer of a New Year’s party.
Now, I’m here, just get in touch next time y’all head down.
