August 2005

Well, I just took a few seconds and found all of the missing end tags, double li tags, etc and I’m finally W3C XHTML transitional valid…

Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional

And my CSS is valid as well, YAY!

Valid CSS!

I did a small re-creation of my insignificant damage yesterday afternoon:

My garage narrowly escaped damage

Or does anyone have a chainsaw???

another limb down from the same tree as last time…

In my rush to cut the limb in half so that I could get out of my driveway, I failed to take any pictures, but just imagine a limb about 12″ in diameter and laying in roughly the same spot as the last one (but unlike the last one, this branch was blocking my entire driveway :( ).

So I spent a few hours this morning securing a safe (cold) place for the breast milk that Brandi’s been pumping for the last 5 weeks (thanks Charles and Dana!), sawing/chopping at said limb with my late grandfather’s hand saw and small axe (both of which are at least 30 years my elder), and buying 120lbs of ice at Sam’s so the entire contents of our fridge could be salvaged.

Anyway, thankfully we moved Brandi’s car around to the front of the house and it escaped any damage.

I wish I could say the same for my neighbor’s fence. . .

EDIT: what sucks most about this, is that only 2 of the 4 tree companies I called 2 Fridays ago actually came out an gave me an estimate. Those 2 companies came out Monday, and I wanted to get at least 3 before I comitted to one of them. ARGH!

I took last week off to spend some time with the newly renamed Milky Dooodle….

But, I’m back… Maybe I’ll actually post something this week…

And I’m still at work…

I *really* want (and need) to take off next week and help BB w/ the monkey doodle…

And I’m really going to…

That’s why I’m at *still* at work.

I need to *produce* something before I go on vacation. I’ve never really felt like this before… I just have this drive to… I dunno, prove my worth or something….

Bah…

And to top it all off, many of my cow orkers are playing HALO2 on the big screens in our conference room right now *ARGHHHHH*!!!

Back to coding….
