Fairlyn arrived at 12:40 PM CDT today (July 22nd, 2005), weighing in at 7 lbs, 1 oz and 20 inches in length.
Here’s a few pics taken before she even got a proper bath (and I’m crossing my fingers that PBase has all of their problems from the other day worked out):

I am consistently impressed with my wife’s ability to take a situation by the nads and own it.
Today, she did not disappoint. She pushed through the pain during the first 3 or so hours, and after the epidural (thank God for those things), she was a pro! 3 hours later we were meeting our new daughter.
Fairlyn has been pretty content so far, feeding for about 20 minutes about 30 minutes after birth, and then again here recently for about 40 minutes. She has fussed very little (knock on wood) and she hasn’t slept nearly as much as I thought she would….

CONGRATS! We are so happy that you guys had a good delivery. WE are excited to see her. Let us know when you get home and we will make arrangements to bring you a meal.

Congratulations to both of you. Having a child is a wonderful thing. At least it has been for me. One piece of advice…Sleep when she sleeps. Even if you are not tired. You’ll thank me later.

Oh my goodness, Her Royal Highness has arrived and we are so excited. All the fun and excitement is just beginning. We know 4 little munchins (Brennen, Chandler, Michael and Joshua) that are going to be teaching her how to climb tree houses and explain what all those Pop and Granna bags really mean. Congrats!!!!!! It’s been almost 18 years since Kalae’ was born and 13 for Erich….this is something you will never forget. Now that you’ve got one done the second one is a snap. Get ready now for everyone to tell you how to raise her…So, I’ll go first…My only advise is don’t whisper, make lots of noise and enjoy the fact that it will be a while before she can actually speak. Love you both and remember,….after a few weeks of her keeping you up you will understand what I’m saying. Love always…Buddy (p.s) keep in touch!!!

Congratulations! We’re expecting our first girl in November(we already have two boys) and I can’t wait. I know she’ll have you wrapped around her little finger as much as mine will.
