Dr. Wife has been appointed as one of the Chief Residents of UAB’s Psychiatry Department.
In addition, Dr. John Jeans and Dr. Ajmal Khan were also appointed to the post of Chief Resident. Dr. Wife often speaks very highly of those two, I’m sure that the three of them will make one hell of a team.
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention (by Eric Irvin) that I should put this screwdriver on Ebay. Tell me what you think by posting a comment!
ydant (Matthew) was over at my place last night helping me remove my oil pan. We had finally figured out the secret way to hold the thin paint scraper and pound it between the oil pan and block to break the seal.
Matt was out from under the car messing with the jack when I got very adamant about him taking a look inside the oil pan. I’m sure he just thought I wanted him to see how yet again it was hanging up on the sump, but no. I wanted him to see this:

Yes, there was a BIG ASS SCREWDRIVER in my FREAKING OIL PAN. Now for those of you that don’t know, I bought my car (2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS) in January of 2002 from Jeff 2.5RS. He had done a majority of the modifications to the car, including the installation of a Minnam Turbo Kit (which includes a tapped oil pan for the oil return from the turbo).
I can only assume that he is the culprit, and he simply overlooked the screwdriver (somehow) when he was installing the oil pan . Edit: It turns out he had a shop install the oil pan for him, guess it’s their snafu.
Anyway, more pics:

Notice how the screwdriver scratched the coating off of the inside of the oil pan, and how the sucker soaked up a bunch of oil..
FWIW, my strainer didn’t have (much of) anything in it, and my engine never had any ill effects from the screwdriver (that I know of).
All in all, I’d say I’m one lucky SOB.
